UPS and USPS both say they have it, but am waiting for them to deliver.I don't know about using standard mail.
After that, you can never insert the drive again unless you pull apart the case and use it without one, which I do not recommend.I'm sure this design flaw also affects some later models of PNY thumb drives as well, so be wary. Normally you wouldn't think this would be a problem (after all it's obvious physics), but the only thing holding the drive itself (the electronics) in place are two very thin pieces of plastic.
This was my first flash drive that I had purchased a couple years ago for a class I was taking. One good thing about this device is that the electronics do what they are supposed to do.
When you insert the drive, each time it pushes against the inside of the case. As you would expect, it worked fine and was compatible with a variety of systems and setups; I got a lot of use out of this flash drive, especially for work and system administration.
That being said, you come to rely a lot on these things, so you have to be careful of which one you buy.The ultimate failure in the design of this product is its plastic case. Insert the drive enough times and they snap right off--this is inevitable due to age.
When picking out a device like this, pay careful attention to the design and construction of the casing, because in the end what electronics it uses is hardly going to matter (these being such generic devices).
this is my first flashdrive and i've owned it since 2006. but i fixed that with some superglue. it loads so easily into my computer (and others), and it works for macs too. the reason its not perfect is because a few months ago the chip broke away from the plastic and was exposed. and yes its very small, even more so than i thought. buy one of these, you won't be sorry.
I don't know what I did without this handy little thing. Now I just save everything to my flash drive. It is smaller than a lighter so I always just keep it in my purse. Before when I was at work and had to save something for home, I would have to email it to my personal address, or write it down and later lose it. It has a ton of space, for such a cheap price most flash drives will barely hold a picture or two, but I have my entire photo collection on here, so it's great for showing pictures to people without emailing them or actually carrying around the pictures. Definitely worth it.
Bought this last year so that when I needed it it would be available. Well. It's still available, just doesn't work. I get error messages.
